As a native New Yorker, I can definitely say I am beyond proud to be in such a position that can influence the future of the beauty industry.
In 2011, I made a wise decision and decided to enroll into cosmetology school. I completed my course and earned my New York State Cosmetology license. From that very moment, I could not wait to exercise my professional creativity. Throughout the years, I’ve spent time learning the science, theory and art of hair. The science, hair theory and art that I’ve learned includes a wide range from haircutting, hair coloring, Keratin’s, extensions, creative styling, bridals, tv production, photoshoots, products, and the list goes on! I went as far as becoming part of salon management for a previous employer to understand how to run a salon. Fast forward— while 2017 came to an end, I wanted to take my career to the next level. I became a freelance hairstylist, full-time starting January 2018. At this point in my career, I know what works and what doesn’t. I would like to contribute more than just pretty hair to my clients, I would like to share my perspective to everyone.
New York City is a fashion capital. With that in mind, fashion and beauty comes as a package deal. I am very grateful to live in NY and be able to exercise my professional creativity at my own pace. Everyone knows how busy New York City can be, but for us beauty professionals, it keeps us on our toes! One thing I can say is that, us New Yorkers are very trendy. Hopefully through my brand, I can continue to obtain the engagement of everyone who are into beauty and possibly set new trends with my platform.
