Since 2020, something’s shifted. Hair has become more than a style—it's a statement. A playground. A mood board. And honestly? I'm here for all of it.
But while the looks have evolved, the conversations around hair wellness often lag behind the trends. Everywhere you scroll, you see the slicked, the silk-pressed, the sculpted, and the sprayed—some stunning, some risky. It makes me pause and ask:
Will the day come when trendy hair is also healthy hair?
Because right now, it feels like we’re still choosing one or the other.
As a hairstylist in NYC since 2011, I’ve seen every phase—from bone-straight obsessions to color overkill to natural hair enlightenment and back again. I’ve held hands through big chops, chemical damage, heat recovery, and confidence rebuilds. I’ve also had the joy of helping clients reclaim not just their hair, but their relationship with it.
What began as rescue missions—restoring fried ends and fragile strands—grew into wellness journeys. Not quick fixes, but thoughtful routines. My clients started understanding that healthy hair isn't boring; it's powerful. It gives you options. It holds color better. It styles better. It is the style.
Behind every blonde moment, bold color, or bouncy silk press, there's a foundation: hydration, trims, treatments, and TLC.
So while the reels and red carpets might tempt you to risk it all for a look, I want to be the voice that says:
You don’t have to sacrifice health for style.
You can have both.
You deserve both.
And more importantly?
Your hair deserves care that lasts longer than the trend cycle.
Let’s make hair wellness the standard—not the recovery plan.
